Mountain View Conservation Centre is a leading non-profit Canadian facility that hosts rare and endangered wildlife species, in family groups, for re-introduction back into their natural habitats in BC, Canada and around the world.Located on over 260 acres near Fort Langley (off Exit #66 on Canada Highway#1), Mountain View Conservation now hosts over 55 species of the world's most rare and endangered wildlife. For example, in just one of our conservation programs, eleven Vancouver Island Marmot pups were born here in 2007 for re-introduction back into their natural habitat. Other programs include the rare Northern Spotted Owl, the Spotted frog and Canadian Wood Bison. Mountain View recently won the Conservation award from CAZA, the Canadian Association of Zoos and Aquariums, of which Mountain View is a fully accredited member.
The Education and Tours Centre at Mountain View Conservation is open daily all year round, and Guided Tours of the Wildlife Conservatory are at 10.00am and 1.00pm. daily (Advance reservations required). There are over 200 species of animals living on this 120 acre parkland, creating a world filled with wonder and education. The successful breeding program established by the Zoo's staff and carefully developed educational programs make it a place that the whole family will enjoy. The facilities have been recently upgraded and offer visitors the chance to see 126 different species of wildlife from around the world, from rhinos and lions to bears and exotic birds. Annual attendance at the Zoological Centre exceeds 400,000 visitors, and its proximity to Vancouver and Seattle ensures repeat visitors.
